Nissan has just announced the 2012 Juke will provide better fuel economy and lower emissions that come by way of small tweaks to the mechanicals.
The automaker says that the compact crossover will see better fuel consumption for both the 1.6-liter petrol engine and the 1.5-liter dCi diesel. The optimizations come by way of better gearing ratios for the manual transmission models.
On the combined UK cycle, the 1.6 will do 47.1 mpg UK (6.0 l/100km), which represent an improvement of 2.3 mpg. Emissions have also been slashed to 139g/km of CO2, a reduction of 8g/km over the previous model.
On the diesel front, the 1.5 dCi has a combined UK run of 57.6 mpg (4.9 l/100km). Prices will remain untouched for the 2012 model.
